The attention of Guldrest Resources Company Limited was drawn to some publications by Al Jazeera News Network and its investigative unit on some baseless and damning accusations of gold smuggling and money laundering made against Guldrest Resources, a registered Ghanaian company, between the sixth and seventh days of April 2023.
In response to the aforementioned damaging publications, Guldrest Resources Ghana would like to state the following:

1. There is no substance of fact or truth in the aforementioned charges from the 6th and 7th of April 2023. We kindly ask everyone who has read the aforementioned fake news to disregard it as it is demonstrably incorrect, unethical, manufactured in the worst possible way, and motivated by malice.

2. According to a letter from Al Jazeera and its allies dated March 23, 2023 and delivered on March 31, 2023, Guldrest Resources FZC in the United Arab Emirates got some laundered funds in the amount of USD$16 million from Kaloti Jewellery International DMCC in 2012.

3. On April 3, 2023, Guldrest Resources Ghana duly answered in writing, denying the allegations as false and devoid of substance, and holding Al Jazeera and its cronies accountable. Then, on April 4, 2023, Al Jazeera changed their story via email and claimed that Guldrest Resources Ghana actually had a subsidiary company in Dubai by the name of Guldrest Resources FZC. As a result, they now want to know if this entity (Guldrest Resource FZC) received money from Kaloti Jewellery International DMCC in 2012 that was equal to USD$16 million.

4. In response to their request submitted through this email address: [email protected]; whatsapp +44 7908 782675, Guldrest Resources Ghana refuted this accusation in a letter dated 5th April 2023 as untrue and cowardly.

5. According to Guldrest Resources, there is absolutely NO reliable investigation report. Additionally, there is no video showing Alistair Mathias, an alleged money launderer and gold smuggler, claiming ownership of Guldrest Resources or using the Ghanaian company to launder money or transport gold out of the country. The stated assertions are untrue. Guldrest Resources Ghana is a trustworthy corporation that upholds the law and refrains from engaging in illegal trade.

6. The aforementioned comments from Guldrest Resources Ghana made it quite evident that the stinging accusations made by Al Jazeera and its investigation unit were unjust, unlawful, and subject to legal recourse. Guldrest Resources Ghana has consequently given its attorneys instructions to investigate the possibility of taking legal action against the negligent publishers.

Guldrest Resources 7. Ghana assures the public once again that it abides by all international conventions and Ghanaian laws. The publication exhorts the general public to disregard the aforementioned publications by Al Jazeera and its allies as FAKE NEWS OR FALSEHOOD.
